Abstract

This report presents worldwide PC and worldwide desktop PC shipment volume per year over the period 2012 - 2019 and per quarter for the period 1Q 2013 - 4Q 2015. Also included are forecasts of worldwide desktop PC shipment volume and share by region and by CPU connector type. This report also provides comparison of AIO PC and desktop PC shipment volume, as well as motherboard and desktop PC shipment volume on a worldwide basis. This research finds that, bolstered by commercial replacement demand, global desktop PC shipment volume grew 4% in 2014 compared to 2013, with approximately 132 million notebook PCs shipped. The worldwide AIO PC/desktop PC shipment volume ratio is projected to reach around 15% in 2019, up from around 12.8% in 2014. It is anticipated that the worldwide desktop PC shipment volume will top around 120 million units in 2015, down 4.9% year-on-year, as commercial market just finished the replacement cycle in 2014 and the support of Windows 7 will not officially end until 2020 amid the growth slowdown of all-in-ones.
